Jacqueline Barron regularly performs the music of Luciano Berio, and performances of Laborintus, Folksongs, A Ronne, Cries of London and Sinfonia. have taken her to Milan (La Scala), Los Angeles (Dorothy Chandler Pavilion), New York City (Carnegie Hall), Vienna, Rome, Amsterdam, Switzerland and a tour of Israel, conducted by the composer. She has recorded Sinfonia in Paris with Pierre Boulez and with Semyon Bychkov and the Orchestre de Paris.

Other contemporary work includes a critically acclaimed performance of Brian Ferneyhough's Transit (broadcast on BBC Radio 3), James MacMillan's Busqueda at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and works by Steve Reich at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall (all with London Sinfonietta). In 2004 she performed a programme of contemporary music with London Sinfonietta in Nicosia to mark the joining of Cyprus with the European Union. She works with Singcircle, opening the 2005 City of London Festival with a performance of Stockhausen's Stimmung, a piece she has also performed in Lisbon and recently at the QEH.
